Writers notes; the next three deeds relate to the same basic property with slight variations. The transaction included 190.20 acres of land, water and wooded area west, north/west of Iron Bridge and village to company property line and 899.66 acres of land, water and wooded area north/ east of the plant and village, extending to the company property line beyond the Clifton/Goldmine Road almost to Pacolet River.  I.

Deed book 49-W, pages 517-18, dated August 19, 1983: Roger Milliken, in consideration of ten dollars ($10.00) and other valuable considerations, conveyed to Tyger Oak, Inc., all his right, title and interest in and to that;

Parcel No. 1; tract or parcel of land containing eight hundred, ninety nine and 66/100 acres. (899.66 acres) more or less, as shown on Plat No.1 entitled, Property of Indian Heads Mills, Inc., dated August 14, 1959, Plat book #39 pages 298-301 less and excepting; a certain lot containing 0.32 of an acre located in the southwestern portion of the aforesaid tract being shown as the “well Lot”, all existing sewer and water mains and lines serving property of the Grantor not hereby conveyed and or serving properties of others. The above property being the same conveyed to Ora Kingsley Smith and Roger Milliken by deed of Indian Head Mills and recorded in Deed book 25-F, page 43 and is subject to same reservations and easements.

Parcel No 2; all that tract or parcel of land containing one hundred, ninety and 28/100 acres. (190.28) more or less, as shown on Plat No.2 Indian Head Mills, dated August 17, 1959 and recorded in Plat book 39, page 291, less, excepting and excluding any and all portions of dam across Lawson Fork which may lie within said tract, any and all existing water and sewer lines serving property of Grantor not herewith conveyed. This conveyance made subject to reservation and easements contained in Deed Book 25-F, page 46. This parcel #2 being the same property conveyed to Alan R. Calhoun, Ora Kingsley Smith and Roger Milliken in Deed 25-F.

II.

 Deed book 53-R, pages 159-163, dated September 24, 1987: Ora Kingsley Smith, in consideration of ten dollars (10.00) and other valuable considerations, granted, bargained, sold and released unto the said Welford-Glendale Properties, all that property more fully described on schedule A attached hereto;

Parcel #1; All my right, title and interest in and to that tract or parcel of land containing 899.66 acres, this being the same property deeded to Ora Kingsley Smith and Roger Milliken by deed of Indian Head Mills, Deed book 25-F pages 43, dated August 28, 1958. Less and excepting all that tract or parcel of land containing .32 acre and known as “the well lot” shown in Plat book 74, page 693, dated January 10, 1975, this being part of the property conveyed to the Commissioners of Public Works of the city of Spartanburg. This also being the property conveyed to Grantor and Roger Milliken, Deed book 49-W page 509, dated September 16, 1983.

Parcel # 2; All that tract or parcel of land containing 190.28 acres more or less, less and excepting and excluding all portions of that dam across Lawson Fork which may lie within said tract, any and all existing sewer and water lines serving property of the Grantor, this being the same property conveyed to Roger Milliken, Alan R. Calhoun and Ora Kingsley Smith by deed recorded in Deed book 45-S page 726.

 This conveyance is subject to all exceptions, reservations and easements contained in Deed 25-F.

 III.

Deed book 45-S, page 726-28, dated June 29, 1978: The First National Bank, as Executor and Trustee of two trusts under the Last Will and Testament of Alan Taliaferro Calhoun, in consideration of one hundred and five thousand dollars, ($105,000.00) conveyed to Roger Milliken and Ora Kingsley Smith, all the Grantor’s right, title and interest, the same being a one half (1/2) individual interest in that certain tract or parcel of land containing 190.28 acres more or less (plat # 2) being the same property conveyed by Indian Head Mills in Deed book 25-F pages 43-46, dated August 28, 1959, less an excepting any and all portion of that dam across Lawson’s fork shown of the aforesaid plat which may lie within said tract or parcel of land. The same exceptions and exclusions as listed in Deed 25-F applies. (Click Plat # 2)
