Brothers, in consideration of one dollar, ($1.00)
conveyed to Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District, a
small tract of land (0.03 acre) on the south side of
Douglas Street at the intersection of Stifel Road and
Douglas Street. (Located on south side of Mill Store)

49-W, pages 509-10, dated September 7, 1983:
Commissioners of Public Works for the city of
Spartanburg, in consideration of five hundred dollars,
($500.00) conveyed to Tyger Oak, Inc. and Ora Kingsley
Smith, all that tract or parcel of land containing .32
acres known as “the Well Lot” as recorded in Plat book
74 page 693, dated January 10, 1975.
(Writer’s note; The well lot is located off old
Hamburg Street from which village water was furnished
for many years. This pumping station was a weekly
check by John Varner (Shop Foreman) and me while I was
Supervisor of the Engineering Department. As best I
remember, it was a 100 horsepower pump.)
