Rev.
Clarence Crocker Passes Away
We are sorry to report that
Rev. Clarence Crocker passed away on Friday, May 29,
2015 after long struggle with cancer. The death
of Rev. Crocker, at age 90, is a big loss to the
Glendale community as well as to his family and
friends. He loved Glendale and its people. He was an
authority on the history of Glendale. He was
responsible for preserving much of that history.
He wrote about 250 articles about the place and its
people for this website. This is the equivalent of
several books. If your family is from Glendale there
is a very good chance they will be discussed in one of
Clarence’s articles. Clarence had a long and
interesting life. You can read more about him and
access his articles at
Rev. Clarence
Crocker. No one can fill his shoes.

Crocker from the Spartanburg Herald
