Biography of June Elaine Stephens Bowman
June Elaine Stephens was born in
1943 in Glendale. June attended Glendale Elementary School
and graduated from Pacolet High School. She graduated from
Winthrop and has a master's degree from Converse. She
retired from Broome High School as an English teacher.
After her retirement, she and her family moved to
Minnesota where she also taught English literature at the
University. She is now totally retired.
June is married to Jack Bowman, who is Dean of the School
of Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota -
Duluth. June’s mother, Bertha Cordelia Mott
Stephens, now 95 years old, lives with them.
